PRESCHOOL ALTERNATIVE Partial or Full Separation Programs Space is limited we recommend enrolling early. MoonSoup Studio: Preschool Alternative. Partial Separation 1 1/2 hours Studio I:18 months to three years. Studio II: 23 months- 3 years. 1 1/2 hours. Once, twice or three times a week. Partial Separation.* This popular creative arts class introduces children to preschool structure and activities. At each level class advances and children progress toward more early literacy and language play, attention span development as well as greater independence, school readiness and social skill development. Creativity and make believe make this a fun class for both parents and children to attend. Dress up costumes, puppets, music styles, and dancing all come together to round out this very special class. Children follow the teacher through story time, theme development, social and imaginative play. Art projects range from theme-based to working a concept or exploring a medium. Socialization concepts such as cooperation, contributing and sharing are ongoing themes. Snack and juice or water provided. Please inform your teacher and provide your own snack for your child in the case of any dietary restrictions or allergies.
The Little School: Preschool Alternative. Full Separation/Gentle Process* Two & Three Years Olds 2 hours. Once, Twice or Three Times a week. Child centered, progressive, creative curriculum. Potty training not required. Program Description: Children advance in this preschool alternative with a child-centered, creative curriculum with learning stations that includes, art, science, story time, early literacy, constructive play, and peer socialization. All in a perfect balance of structured and opened ended activities that draw from a mix of Reggio, Montessori and traditional teaching practices. Social skill development is supported with sharing and cooperation as ongoing themes. A gentle separation* class, with a drop off option (or parents may stay) for children ready for both greater independence and a more advanced curriculum. Snack and juice or water provided. Please inform your teacher and provide your own snack for your child in the case of any dietary restrictions or allergies. Please pack a change for children who are not fully potty trained and let us know what stage of toilet training your child is at.
*Gentle Separation/Drop Off: We have a very gentle separation process, and follow the individual child’s readiness. Adults may stay on the premises as many weeks as needed, or until their child is ready for full separation. Separation and/or Drop-off are subject to the teacher's discretion. Parents leaving the premises must sign-out with a cell phone and be reachable. Adults must be prompt and present for pick up at the end of class time.
